In the first episode, we hear from Adrian D Ward MBE who sets the scene by giving an overview of the history and development of the AWI Act. Adrian is a solicitor who is a recognised national and international expert in adult incapacity law, convener of the Mental Health & Disability Committee of the Law Society of Scotland, expert adviser to the Centre for Mental Health & Capacity Law at Edinburgh Napier University and has written extensively on this subject.
